Bandaides and Blackboards - Kids This site has over 180 pages of excellent information for children, teens and parents. Written by a nurse in Connecticut, these sites take viewers on a virtual tour of procedures that happen in a hospital. Information for siblings of sick children, essays by kids for kids and how to cope with teasing are featured links.
Bandaides and Blackboards - Teens This site is an excellent resource for and about kids who grow up with medical problems. It is written from their own perspective and how the cope with life.
FDA Kid's Site A kid web page created by the FDA, this site offers sections on food safety. Other interesting features are drug definitions of the contents of the home medicine cabinet, as well as information on diseases that people get vaccinated against.
KidsHealth for Kids This site has a series of pull-down menus dealing with a series of topics. Featured are sections on aches and pains, healthy recipes, and feelings.
KidsHealth for Teens Teens can use this site to find information on eating disorders, healthy snacks, moods, feelings and a question and answer format dealing with sexuality.

Mercy Bear's Big Adventures A teddy bear goes through several routine medical procedures, explaining them in easy to understand terms. This site is beautifully illustrated and excellent for explaining medical procedures to small children.
